A marriage may be made in heaven, but the maintenance must be done on earth
Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband (Ephesiana 5:33)

The measure of a man is not how great his faith is but how great his love is.
And now these three remains: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of this is love (1 Corinthians 13:13)

Be careful that your marriage doesn’t become a duel instead of a duet
Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another (Romans 14:19)

Sorrow looks back. Worry looks around. Faith looks up.
Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God (Hebrews 12:2)

Success in marriage is more than finding the right person. It’s becoming the right person.
But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness (1 Timothy 6:11)

A man is rich according to what he is, not according to what he has.
There is that maketh himself rich, yet hath nothing: there is that maketh himself poor, yet has great riches (Proverbs 13:7).

Life can only be understood by looking backward, but it must be lived by looking forward.
And Jesus said unto him: “No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God”. (Luke 9:62)

God can heal a broken heart, but he has to have all the pieces.
My son, give me thine heart (Proverbs 23:26 a)

Learning does not begin in school; neither must it end there. Learning is a lifelong journey.
Your hands made me and formed me; give me understanding to learn your commands. (Psalm 119:73)

God humbled Himself and joined an earthly family so that one day we may join a heavenly one.
The Word became flesh and lived for a while among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. (John 1:14)

Learning does not begin in school; neither must it end there. Learning is a lifelong journey.
Take hold of the hope offered to us…We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. (Hebrews 6:18, 19)

Faith without works is dead. If our actions do not reflect our beliefs, we must examine how deeply we believe.
His faith and hisactions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did. (James 2:22)

Faithfulness does not require us to believe without question. Faithfulness requires us to remain committed even when we don’t like the answer. Lord. please help my actions reflect my commitment to love You with all my heart, soul, mind and strength.

I can’t change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to reach my destination.
Become mature…then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves (Ephesians 4:13, 14)

Neglect the whole world rather than each other.

Never bring up mistakes of the past.

If you have to criticize, do it lovingly.

If one of you has to win an argument, let it be your mate.

Never yell at each other unless the house is on fire.

Never both be angry at the same time.

Without faith, we are as stained glass windows in the dark.

Let marriage be held in honor among all…

Therefore shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

The time span of union is eternity. The Life is a jar, and in it pure wine. If we aren’t together whatuse is the jar?

God did not create woman from man’s head, that he should command her, nor from his feet, that she should be his slave, but rather from his side, that she should be near his heart.

Now you will feel no rain, for each of you will be shelter to the other. Now you will feel no cold, for each of you will be warmth to the other. Now you are two persons, but there is only one life before you. Go now to your dwelling place, to enter into the days of your togetherness, And may your days be good, and long together.

There shall be such a oneness between you that when one weeps, the other shall taste salt.

Marriage resembles a pair of shears, so joined that they cannot be separated; often moving in opposite directions, yet always punishing anyone who comes between them.

If ever two were one, then surely we. If ever man were lov’d by wife, then thee; If ever wife was happy in a man, Compare with me ye women if you can. I prize thy love more than whole Mines of gold, Or all the riches that the East doth hold. My love is such that Rivers cannot quench, Nor ought but love from thee, give recompense. Thy love is such I can no way repay, The heavens reward thee manifold Ipray. Then while we live, in love let’s persevere, That when we live no more, we may live ever.

To get the full value of joy you must have someone to divide it with.

…he is more myself than I am. Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same…If all else perished and he remained, I should still continue to be, and if all else remained, and we were annihilated, the universe would turn to a might stranger…He’s always, always in my mind; not as a pleasure to myself, but as my own being.
